Pro golfer Tiger Woods, 33, was reportedly involved in a serious car accident early this morning outside of his Isleworth community home in Florida, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting, citing information provided by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The reports indicate that Woods pulled out of his driveway, struck a fire hydrant, and then went careening into a neighbor's yard where he struck a tree.

According to medics, Woods condition was listed as serious during his transport to the Ocoee, Florida hospital. Some outlets are reporting that Woods suffered facial lacerations and was released from the hospital. Woods' agent insisted his client was fine and when reached via phone, Woods issued a no comment.

Those first on the scene reported that Woods' Cadillac Escalade's airbags did not deploy. According to Cadillac's safety protocol, that means the car was traveling at less than 33 MPH.

The accident occurred at 2:28 am EST Friday morning. It is believed that alcohol did not play a role in the accident but reports have surfaced that charges may be pending in the incident.
