Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) beaten by Twitter in Mobile Ad revenue in US mobile advertising this year, according to a eMarketer survey estimating a market dominated by Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG).
Facebook and Twitter both are social rivals and eMarketer said Facebook Inc. (FB) has recently entered in this mobile advertising market and it will take time to overturn its revenue against twitter by 2013 but it will not capable to match Google.
Report of eMarketer estimated that share of Google Inc. (GOOG) in 2012 mobile ad revenues will be $US1.4 billion which is more than half of the total ad revenue for the United States which is $US2.6 billion.
The eMarketer estimated that Internet radio group Pandora is expected to be the second in the mobile advertising revenue with $US226 million, that is followed by Twitter with $US129.7 million.
Facebook Inc. (FB) was expected to earn mobile revenue of about $US72.7 million from mobile ads that is just behind the Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s $US75 million, the report indicates.
The potential of Facebook Inc. (FB) to generate mobile revenue is not ignorable according to eMarketer forecast social giant will rise to number two in the US market by 2013 with $US387 million in mobile ads and will take the position in $US629 million by 2014, which seems quite impressive.
According to eMarketer figures, Twitter will see $129.7 million in form U.S. mobile ad revenues this year as compared to $72 million for Facebook Inc.
The eMarketer survey predicted that Facebook will grow in Mobile Ad revenues in comparison to Twitter because the mobile ad space won’t last for long in case of Twitter and in future this would make Facebook the second highest mobile ad earner behind the Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG).
