Google Inc to Launch a new 3G-enabled Nexus

Google Inc(NASDAQ:GOOG) is all prepared to launch a new version of the Nexus 7, to compete with Amazon's new Kindle Fire according to reports.

The new Kindle Fire is expected to be launched by Amazon at a press conference it has called for September 6.

The new Nexus, being made by Google's partner Asus, is expected to launched in October and will be equipped with a cellular radio for wireless data connectivity, the reports said.

Reports have said that the new model will be a 3G version though there was no confirmation on whether it will connect to high-speed 4G LTE networks.

Google's current Nexus comes with only Wi-Fi connectivity which has restricted its sales in the Asian countries, here Wi-Fi networks are not widely available.
