Google updates Android Maps

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) reported on Wednesday that intends to added new features to its Google Maps app for Android phones on Wednesday. Expediently, it is the similar day that Apple‘s latest mobile operating system is due to be launched, the one that kicks Google’s maps off the iPhone and replaces them with Apple’s own mobile maps.

Firm declared that the Google Maps for Android app will be updated, that will now make it easier to search for places on Android phones and personalize searches on maps.

Vice president of engineering for maps at Google, Brian McClendon stated that typing on a phone is slow, and their goal is to decreased the amount of typing as much as possible.
