Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) receives a bad news as the Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) will soon announce new Kindle Fire, it will use mapping services from Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) rather than from Google map. This appears after the declaration by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) of its own mapping services for iOS more willingly than using Google’s offering.
Amazon.com Inc(AMZN)’s new Kindle Fire will contain mapping services by means of a tie-up with Nokia Oyj, two people familiar with the situation reported, filling a gap in the tablet’s capabilities whereas snubbing Google Inc’s popular service.
The two people told Reuters that The world’s biggest Internet retailer, which articulates its nine-month old Kindle Fire now accounts for one in five U.S. tablet sales, has teamed up with Nokia on mapping.
Amazon will launch at least one new version of the Kindle Fire coming Thursday.
