Apple began to search, others supplier

Despite of the fact that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has cut supply orders to acquire key components from Samsung Electronics, only a small number of Taiwanese dealers might get further supply orders from Apple Inc (AAPL) as the company wants to expand its supply sources, according to a research report yesterday.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will probably give more supply orders to top dealers in individual sectors, particularly in the China, Japan, South Korea and US, TrendForce Corp stated in the report. Among Taiwanese dealers, only AU Optronics Corp has been included in the supply chain for Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) new tablets while rest of the Taiwanese suppliers have a very minute chance that they will get orders from Apple, according to the report.

Although Apple Inc is expanding its supply sources but Samsung is still the key supplier of the processors incorporated in Apple’s iPads and iPhones. Apple has reduced its orders to 30% in the second half for mobile DRAM chips supplied by Samsung as compared to 40% in the first six months.
