iCloud made its way out of the beta phase just a while back and no doubt everyone expected excellent syncing service from Apple Inc (AAPL). While iCloud was pretty good even when it was in Beta (with only a few ignorable outages) some Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) users faced some difficulty when their iMessages weren’t being sent over iCloud yesterday. Sometimes messages weren’t being sent at all and at other times some messages came through to the recipient and others didn’t. Even though iPhone users were able to text normally, iPad, iPod Touch and Mountain Lion users, were out of luck when it came to iMessages yesterday.
Thankfully Apple Inc (AAPL) fixed that problem and iCloud is up and running once again. The issue lasted what seems less than 24 hours altogether and effected very few users. If nothing, it shows that Apple Inc is as serious as ever about its dedication to give high quality service to its users. Things weren’t as bad as when Blackberry had the same problem. RIM faced two major outages that effected users globally. This outage has meant two things for Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL); one that iCloud is still slightly bumpy and they are working on it and, two, that companies switching to the iPhone can rely on faster response from the Cupertino based company.
Apple Inc hasn’t issued a formal statement so far and the only real confirmation of the outage is the amount of speculation/ complaining on Twitter and Facebook about not being able to retrieve mail or receive an iMessage. With iOS 6 being launched tomorrow and quite possible 2 million iPhone 5s soon to be activated, iCloud will see much heavier traffic and it takes a giant like Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) to handle it all.
