Google introduced 2 new features of Google Maps in India

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched two new features for Google Maps on Wednesday in India. The company has introduced the most awaited turn-by-turn voice navigation. On the other side, with the help of Google Maps, People can get information about live traffic situation for important roads in selected cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Chennai and Pune. Google Maps can be downloaded from Google Play without any cost except the data charges which user has to pay for service incur.

These new services can be used free of cost through desktops and Android smartphones using 2.2 version or later. By enabling the traffic layer on mobile version or desktop, one can get information about the live traffic situation. To make it simple, different colors will be used to show the density of vehicles on the roads. Red color will represent the high density of traffic, yellow color will show the small slow down and green color will show the free flow of traffic. Google Maps Navigation will also provide information about alternative fast tracks having low density of traffic if there is traffic jam on the major route.
