Phishing scams are targeting Microsoft & Amazon customers

Cyber criminals are targeting Microsoft and Amazon customers.

PC users who run the Java plug-in are being targeted by cyber criminals who have created fake emails that appear to come from Microsoft Corp. and Amazon.com Inc.

As Forbes reports, the fake phishing emails look like either a change to Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT) terms of service or an order confirmation from Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) and both emails take advantage of an off-the-shelf hacking tool used to exploit the Java plug-in.
