Anti theft dock connector arrives Apple Store soon

US, Silicon Valley tech giant, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is demanding its premium resellers in Europe to make extra table space for iPad displays over the coming few weeks. The firm has supposedly mentioned September 12, the date its coming huge media event is speculated to take place, as the time limit for store adjustments, as per reported by MacRumors.

While Apple (AAPL) is widely predicted to release the next-generation iPhone at that event, a few think that the firm might also declare the iPad Mini, a 7.85-inch model of the firm’s extremely flourishing device.

Apple is also speculated to be ready to launch a modified version of the bigger iPad in the coming months, with some assumption indicating that the tweaks might be aimed at transitioning to the latest, smaller dock connector that the firm is also ready to launch with its superior tablets.

On the trading front, shares of US’s most valuable tech company in terms of market cap, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) moved up 12.81 points or 1.95% to settle at $668.87. The stock opened trading at 654.42 and touched maximum level of 669.00 while volume remained 20.19 million shares which was comparatively higher than the usual volume of 14.04 million.

In related news, Apple Stores seem to be gearing up anti-theft steps with a proprietary piece of equipment that acts as both an iDevice dock connector and a defensive tether.

On Wednesday, Chris, an AppleInsider reader first observed the new cable when going in his local Apple Store, and it has been authenticated that a lot of places nationwide have began to use the latest connector, though supply might be a concern as not all iDevices have their own, with most of the devices being set aside for classy third-generation iPads or products close to the store’s entrance.
