Its is reported through 9to5Mac that Apple Inc.(AAPL) is starting its brand new products sale in Russia to expand its customers across the world, with its retail stores set to open soon.
Apple Inc. (AAPL) said in its Official statement, The firm has registered a company Apple Rus and assigned the role of the corporation’s local legal advisor to Vitaly Morozko as its director general.
Apple is working to spread its brand name in Russia and these plans were first considered by the mobile giant in spring 2011, when the top managers of Apple (AAPL) traveled to Moscow, with a will to find ways to open Apple Stores in Russia but did not find anything.
The potential to generate revenue is bright for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) in Russia as it is one of the four “BRIC” countries viewed as major growth markets due to their developing economies. Among those top four countries, Apple Inc. (AAPL) has been highly focused on China, but Tim Cook acknowledged earlier in the current year that the company has been increasing its emphasis on Russia and Brazil.
India is the fourth BRIC country, and there have been footprints of Apple in India toward an expanded reseller network there. But still it seems that Apple is remaining cautious with its direct expansion plans in that country.
The Company is intending to start its direct sales in Russia in 2013 but it has not been announced by the firm when its first Apple Stores will open.
Mac rumors reported that Apple Inc. is currently using a network of distributors to handle sales of its products in the country, but the Company is not satisfied with iPhone distribution because all the carrier partners have been focused on limiting its product sales to their own stores.
